Brooklyn Point is the third tower to be completed as part of the City Point mixed use complex in downtown Brooklyn. Primarily a luxury residential tower with retail at its base, the building offers buyers some remarkable amenities. MNLA was tasked with designing the perimeter streetscape, the 5th floor terrace, and the roof pool deck.
The streetscape continues the vocabulary of the first two buildings to create a seamless, integrated public realm with distinctive paving, planters, and in-ground trees. The fifth floor is a wrap-around terrace that uses the different exposures and views to organize diverse amenities. These include a strolling garden, children’s playground, putting green and dining area. Comfortable small group seating areas are arrayed throughout the terrace to offer privacy or engagement with other activities.
The roof holds the highest infinity pool in the Western hemisphere offering breathtaking views of Manhattan and the East River. Accompanying the pool is a lounge deck, spa, changing rooms, outdoor showers as well as dining and cooking stations set discreetly apart from the pool activities.
