MNLA worked with the Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS) to re-conceive their campus. Concurrent to a building expansion effort, a series of small landscape areas was designed, each with a distinct program and character. The new courtyard functions as both a viewing garden and seating area for the adjacent cafeteria. The terrace is primarily a viewing garden for the library and residences with a lightly used passage connecting to the JTS garden. The JTS garden is a more residential amenity that allows a variety of uses, including hosting of events. Both the JTS garden and courtyard are designed to accommodate a large Sukkah.

Additional scope areas include a non-occupiable green roof and a reconfigured entry planter. Each of these small spaces is a component in the rethinking of open space on the campus and will serve hybrid functions for scholars, visitors and residents.
